A GRADE II-listed King Street shop has come onto the market at just shy of £1 million as its owners look to retire.
Home to Knutsford Antiques for more than 23 years, the three-storey property dates back to the Georgian period and consists of 12 large rooms.
The current owners of 113 King Street, David and Patricia McLeod, bought the property in 1995 and established a popular antiques business.
Now, they are looking to sell the business and premises and retire.
Blacks Business Brokers have been instructed to find a new owner as part of the couple's retirement planning, with the freehold valued at £950,000.
Chelsea Melnyk, sales negotiator at Blacks Business Brokers, said: “Opportunities to acquire the freehold on a property like this at one of Knutsford’s most sought-after addresses are few and far between.
"It will make a fabulous investment, whether a new owner chooses to continue operating the antiques shop, base their own business there or let it out to commercial tenants.

“I am expecting substantial interest in this one now the word is out.”
The property, at the bottom of Minshull Street, could be kept on by a new owner as an antiques business, which currently generates rental income of around £60,000 per year through letting rooms and cabinets to independent dealers.
Blacks say the property would also lend itself to a wide range of retail or commercial uses and could be sold vacant possession if required.
They add that it is a stone’s throw from the town’s entrance to picturesque Tatton Park, the National Trust property that hosts a wide range of events, including an annual RHS show.
