A NEW Forest pub and a Bournemouth town centre shop are set to go under the hammer next month.

The White Horse in Milford-on-Sea, near Lymington, is among 170 lots being sold by Clive Emson auctioneers.

Rob Marchant, auctioneer, said: “This is a well-known pub on an extensive plot of 0.17 hectares (0.43 acres) including a beer garden, play area and car park.

“There may be scope for alternative use, subject to the necessary consents.”

The White Horse, with a guided freehold at £390,000 to £410,000, is being auctioned jointly with Savills of Southampton.

Investors also have the opportunity to bid at auction for the freehold of a mixed-use property in Bournemouth town centre in September.

With a guided freehold at £130,000 to £140,000, the three-storey premises at 278 Old Christchurch Road comprises a ground floor vape shop, currently let at £19,000 per annum, and five flats above sold on long leases.

Mike Marchant, auctioneer, said: “This is an opportunity for investors to add to their portfolios in the centre of a popular town.”

Three of the flats have been sold on 99-year leases from March 2002 and the remaining two have been sold on 195-year leases from March 2017.

The property is being auctioned jointly with Ridge Asset Management.
