THE family of a man killed in a crash on Knutsford Road have paid tribute to the ‘wandering star’.
Mick Smith, from Warrington, died after the accident on the A50 shortly before 12pm yesterday, Monday.
His loved ones have now paid tribute to the music and canal boat enthusiast, who will be ‘sadly missed’.
In a statement, the 62-year-old’s family said: “Mick was a wandering star – he loved music, loved life and loved his canal boat.
“He will be sadly missed.”
Knutsford Road was shut in both directions for around three hours between the Springbrook and Cliff Lane after an accident involving one car, which is believed to have hit a tree.

Police and paramedics rushed to the scene near to the junction with Bell House Lane, with an air ambulance also in attendance.
