SUNRISE of Mobberley has been 'transporting' residents to a different country each month, via a glamorous cruise ship experience.
The cruise ship started its 'voyage' last month in France, and recently docked in Italy, where residents enjoyed an elegant afternoon of music, fine food and comradeship, with residents reminiscing the golden age of the transatlantic cruise ship.
With Italian music playing in the background, everyone sampled a selection of tantalising Italian appetisers and exotic desserts, freshly prepared by Sunrise of Mobberley’s chefs.
Dawn Williams, director of community relations at Sunrise of Mobberley, said: “Residents have absolutely loved the experiences so far.
"Later in the year, the cruise will be docking at destinations such as 'The Aloha State', Hawaii's six islands, Scandinavia, stopping at Sweden to enjoy Meatballs (köttbullar), the internationally-famous Swedish dish, along with songs from Abba. The voyage will end in December, stopping in Germany for the Christmas Markets.”
