A MAN has died after a serious crash on Knutsford Road this morning.
The A50 was shut in both directions after an accident involving one car, which is believed to have hit a tree.
Cheshire Police have now confirmed that a man was killed in the crash.
Police and paramedics rushed to the scene following the incident, which occurred shortly before 12pm near to the junction with Bell House Lane.
An air ambulance also attended.

Knutsford Road was closed between the Springbrook and Cliff Lane as a result, but it reopened at around 3pm.
