POLICE are continuing to investigate the suspected murder of a beloved ‘family man’ as his killer remains at large a week on.
Mark Bradbury was found dead at his home on Station Road South in Padgate at around 10pm on Sunday, August 4, by police who had attended the scene after receiving reports of concerns for a man.

The 58-year-old’s death was initially treated as unexplained by officers, but a murder investigation was opened following a Home Officer post-mortem.

A heavy police presence, including a forensics tent, remained on scene throughout last week.
And Cheshire Police are continuing to appeal for information from members of the public over his death.
A force spokesman said: “Detectives still at the scene of where Mark was found and working very hard to establish the circumstances around his death.
“We would like to thank those who have come forward so far, but we are still appealing to the public to come forward with information that could lead to the arrest of anyone involved.”
The spokesman added that officers were ‘following different lines of enquiries’, including reviewing CCTV footage captured in the area and forensic evidence.
Mr Bradbury’s daughter Hannah paid tribute to her dad in the wake of the dog and sport lover’s death.
In a statement, she said: “Mark was a family man, the life and soul of every party, generous and loyal.
“Everyone who knew him is suffering from immense heartache.
“A lover of sport, dogs and his daughter, Mark will be greatly missed as he is loved.”
The family are being supported by specialist officers.
Mr Bradbury was killed only metres away from where Garry Newlove was murdered in 2007 on the same street, on the other side of the subway under Birchwood Way.

Detective inspector Sarah Oliver said last week: “The investigation continues to be in its early stages, and our enquiries are ongoing to establish the circumstances surrounding Mark’s death.
“We have been conducting house-to-house enquiries, exploring CCTV and a number of officers remain at the scene.
“There are also local officers in the area to provide reassurance to the community and I would encourage anyone who has any information or concerns to speak to them.”
Anyone with information is urged to contact Cheshire Police on 101, quoting incident number IML476959, or to call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
