STEVE Price has named an 18-man squad to face St Helens at The Halliwell Jones Stadium on Thursday.

As expected, there's no Blake Austin (ankle), Jack Hughes (ruptured testicle) or Tom Lineham (suspended), but in comes Academy players Riley Dean and Josh Thewlis among a stack of changes.

Also missing are Dec Patton, Mike Cooper, Daryl Clark, Jason Clark and Joe Philbin.

The Wire have signed experienced half-back Matty Smith from Catalans Dragons, and so he is expected to be added to the already named 18.

A home Super League debut is on the cards for Luther Burrell, a full debut for Dean, a season debut for Luis Johnson and returns for Pat Moran, Ben Murdoch-Masila, Lama Tasi and Be Westwood.
