A JOINT statement has been issued by Super League and the Rugby Football League following the violence on and off the field in Warrington Wolves' match against Catalans Dragons in Perpignan.
“We were appalled to see the pictures from Perpignan, and an investigation will be launched," says the statement.
“The scenes are alien to Super League and have no place in our game.
"We will be taking firm action to make it clear this behaviour is totally unacceptable.”
