A 62 year-old cyclist was taken to the Royal Lancaster Infirmary following a road traffic collision today.
The Lancashire man's injuries, sustained in the incident between Junction 36 of the M6 and Hincaster, were believed to be minor.
A Mercedes Sprinter van was also involved in the traffic collision. The driver, a 30 year-old man from Barrow, was uninjured.
Traffic on part of the A590 westbound was stationary but has now returned to normal.
