DRIVERS are being warned to expect delays after a minibus fire on M53.
Emergency services were called at around 11.20am today (Wednesday, July 17) to reports of a fire on the M53 southbound between junction 9 (National Waterways Museum) and 10 (Cheshire Oaks).
North West motorway police are currently on scene and one lane is closed.
Firefighers, two wearing breathing apparatus, used a hose reel jet to extinguish the flames.
The motorway has partially reopened but one lane remains closed while the passengers remain on scene.
