THE A533 through Davenham and Kingsmead will be closed at separate points throughout this week, starting from tonight.

Carriageway patchwork is to be carried out along the Davenham Bypass and stretch of A533 through Kingsmead, and different segments of the road will need to be closed each night this week.

Tonight, the Davenham Bypass will be closed between St Wilfrid’s Roundabout and Peckmill Roundabout from 8pm until 6am tomorrow.

The section of the Davenham Bypass between the St Wilfrid’s Roundabout and the junction with London Road will be closed from two consecutive nights starting from 8pm tomorrow, Wednesday, reopening at 6am on Thursday, and for the same period starting on Thursday at 8pm.

The final stretch of road to be worked on will be the A533 Kingsmead, from the London Road junction coming from the A556 to where the A533 meets London Road again by the old arts college building.

This stretch will be closed on two nights, from 8pm on Friday until 6am on Saturday, and from 8pm on Saturday until 6am on Sunday.
