ALMOST 30 drivers were caught breaking the 30 speed limit on Monday.
PCSO Chris Pountain undertook speed enforcement with the TruCam on Chelford Road, and 27 drivers were caught exceeding the limit.
The officer said: “The highest speed recorded was 44mph. Unbelievably this was a vehicle that passed me from behind, so had plenty of time to see me and react.”
PCSO Pountain recorded 45 speeding offences in one hour in Goughs Lane, Knutsford, on the morning of July 3, the highest speed recorded being 41mph.
He said: “Whilst I appreciate the speeds we’re not overly excessive, this is still a narrow road, also being used by several runners and cyclists.”
