WILMSLOW Town Council has joined forces with the community to provide the latest defibrillator for the town.

Councillor Martin Watkins, chairman of Wilmslow Town Council, cut a ribbon to unveil the life-saving equipment outside the Chapel Lane Pharmacy.

The equipment was installed as the result of a joint project involving the council and Chapel Lane businesses and community groups.

The defibrillator will be available 24 hours per day and will be on the North West Ambulance register of available devices.

The town council provided the defibrillator, and the community, led by the Green Room Theatre, have provided the all-important and external case which ensures the equipment is available when needed.
