PETER Willgoose is looking forward to his year ahead after becoming president of Knutsford and District Lions Club for the second time.
Peter has taken over the role from retiring president George Williams, the handover taking place at a lunch for 26 members, partners and guests at Knutsford Heritage Centre.
Peter said: “I am looking forward to the year ahead, and was very pleased to have the opportunity to thank George for his excellent leadership and congratulate him and the club on another very successful year.”

George said: “In addition to the usual community service activities, I’m delighted that our club members, in the last 12 months, have been able to introduce several new initiatives.
“These include the Chatty Cafes scheme, a primary school poetry competition and a summer reading scheme at The Welcome.”
