WITTON Street Dental Practice is gearing up for a change of scenery, after entering the Northwich River Festival Dragon Race.

The dragon race is a popular part of the festival, which comes to Northwich on July 13 and 14.

Teams race from Town Bridge to the Odeon along the Weaver.

Northwich Guardian:

Paul Diss from the practice said: "We have been part of the community for 40 years and love to get involved and give something back by raising funds.

"We are really excited for the boat race and everyone from the practice is involved – from rowing, to drumming, to cheerleading."

Boat racing takes place across both days of the festival, with dragon racing on Saturday and rafts on Sunday.

The Sunday also sees 'Ducks on the Dane', with exhibitions and family fun across both days.

Building on previous fundraisers including cake sales and Easter Egg collections, Witton Street Dental Practice has also garnered support from neighbouring businesses for a raffle.

Prizes include a House of Quirk cut and finish, cream tea at Poppy Rose, and a year's subscription to Cheshire Life.

Further prizes have been donated by Store 101 and Rejuvenate Beauty.
