MARKET traders have been commended for their contribution to the annual Love your Local Market campaign.

The praise went to Knutsford Market Hall, which has been commended by the National Association of British Markets Authorities (NABMA).

Love your Local Market started on May 17 and lasted for two weeks. During this time Knutsford Market Hall hosted Egerton School Choir, a face painter and competitions, and had a ‘sample’ day offering visitors to the town a taste of all the products the market offers.

There was also a strong social media campaign across Twitter and Facebook.

All traders took part in the campaign. NABMA offered special praise to Knutsford Market Hall for its strong participation nationally for LYLM, with specific mention for photography from Tatton Photography and trader engagement from The Market Café.

The market overall topped the list of special mentions nationally for its campaign as well.

Sandra Curties, town centre manager, said, “Everyone at The Market Hall was really pleased with the way the campaign went this year.

“It has been great to see new faces in the market and our different mix of stalls.

“We hope people are realising what a gem the market is. We host supper clubs, quiz nights and take part in community events all year round.

“If you work elsewhere and don’t have time to pop in all our traders are on our website and can be contacted for pre-orders and in many cases delivery. We love our LYLM mugs as well!”

Knutsford Market Hall is open every Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday from 8am to 4pm. The Market Café also opens on Wednesday.

Shoppers at Knutsford Market can find everything for dinner from fruit and veg, wine and a great range of meat, poultry and fish.

There is a café and you can buy women’s and children’s clothing and accessories and gifts.

There is also a stall offering a weigh and save and eco products. Alongside this is a photography stall offering a full range of consumer and corporate photography services.
