A NEW housing development on Ways Green only needs traffic calming measures on key routes, say Winsford town councillors.
Members believe 20mph signs are only required on Ways Green, Queensway and Gladstone Street.
Councillors were asked for their views at a meeting on Monday evening after a survey carried out by Cheshire West and Chester Council's road safety team found that traffic calming was not necessary on all the adjacent side roads.
As part of planning conditions for the ongoing housing development, an agreement had been in place for a 20mph speed limit on all the surrounding roads.
