A CHESHIRE performing arts school is expanding and launching a series of classes for children in Wilmslow.

Noodle Performance Arts, which teaches dance and performing arts to children from walking age to 16, first launched in Northwich in January 2018.

The business has been steadily growing ever since and is now set to expand into Wilmslow from September.

Parents can now book a free taster session for their children at one of the new classes, which start on September 9.

There is a choice of two performing arts classes but there are plans to introduce more sessions later in the year, including street dance.

Cat Allen, managing director of Noodle Knutsford, said: “I think both children and parents in Wilmslow will love our new classes. With Noodle, the main focus is on having fun and building children’s self-esteem and confidence.

“Unlike many traditional theatre schools, there is no compulsory uniform or expensive exams to pay for. We work with children to help them learn new skills and fulfil their potential in an enjoyable and informal way.”

Three to five-year-olds will be able to learn performing arts at St Benedict’s RC Church in Handforth from 4pm to 5pm on Mondays.

Older children, aged from five to 16, will take part in singing, dancing and acting in a two-hour NPA Academy session at St Chad’s Parish Hall in Handforth from 4pm on Tuesdays.

Noodle also runs regular holiday clubs and workshops in the area as well as classes in both Northwich and Altrincham.

Anyone who can’t wait until September can join the Noodle Summer Camp from August 19 to 22. The four-day holiday club at The Venue in Rudheath will run from 9am to 4pm and is suitable for five to 14-year-olds.
