A BODY has been recovered from a canal in Chester, police have confirmed.
It comes after a helicopter and divers were involved in a search for a missing man yesterday.
A spokesman said: "Officers were called to Greenfield Lock, in Great Boughton, at 9.54am this morning (Tuesday June 18) after a report of a body in the canal.

Police divers are searching this area
"The North West Underwater Search Team are currently assisting local officers with the recovery. Formal identification has not yet taken place."
A Standard reporter at the scene on the A41 Ring Road said there were six police cars in attendance and a cordon had been set up with passers-by being turned back.
