FRIENDS of The Carrs is celebrating the best attendance yet for its annual dog show.

There were about 170 entries for the nine categories and agility course at the ninth show, far more than in previous years.

John Booth from Friends of The Carrs said: “Without a doubt this was our most successful and enjoyable dog show to date.

“It had a real community atmosphere and it was very rewarding to see everyone having such a good time. We can’t wait until next year.

“The event was the best attended ever and the home-made cake supplies ran out way before the end of the day.

“Although the main aim of the day is to have fun and get local dog owners together, Friends of the Carrs raised about £350, all of which will be used over the coming months to make The Carrs even more beautiful.

“FOTC would like to thank The National Trust from Styal Estate for their manpower and loan of equipment, and The Vet’s Place and Wilmslow Animal Sanctuary, which also came along to support us.”
