JANE Smyth from Style Loft Boutique in Knutsford is on a mission to bring glitz and glamour to a fundraising fashion show at Knutsford Methodist Church on Friday.

The show, which begins at 7.30pm, has been organised by Zac’s House Kingdom Community to help raise the £8,500 needed for its mission to Uganda in August.

Zac’s House Kingdom Community is part of Knutsford Methodist Church, and is active in Northwich.

It holds worship, practical courses for dealing with different aspects of life and events for families.

Led by Reverend Neal Stanton, Zac’s House and Knutsford secondary school teacher Vicky Royle, the mission also includes Reverend Rob Cotton of Knutsford Methodist Church, who will be leading the first Firefest International.

In total 11 people will make the trip to Uganda, visiting areas such as Jinja and Kampala to develop education, help build a latrine system, host a conference to encourage pastors and visit and partner with established projects, particularly those which empower women.

Style Loft Boutique will be showcasing its new summer range of clothes and accessories at the show.

Items will be available in a range of sizes, and guests will be able to try before they buy. There will also be another boutique working alongside Jane, as well as stalls and refreshments.

Jane said: “I was approached by the church and asked to do the show, and jumped at the chance.

“Not only is it for a fantastic cause, but it’s a great opportunity for me to introduce my clothes to people who may not yet have had chance to visit the stall.

“I will be donating 10 per cent of my takings on the night to the Ugandan Mission Trip, so let’s hope guests dig deep and support this wonderful initiative.”

Originally from Leigh, Jane set up Style Loft Boutique at Knutsford Market Hall in September 2017 and has since moved to the town with her son.

She said: “I was doing pop-up events and saw the space available at Knutsford Market Hall online.

“When I visited Knutsford I fell in love with the town and the market, and knew it was the place for me.”

Tickets, which are £10 and include a glass of non-alcoholic fizz, are available from zacshouseoffice@gmail.com or by calling 07948 284124.
