STAFF from a residential home are preparing to climb Mount Snowdon to help families affected by dementia.
A team from the Manor Care Home in Middlewich plan to scale the highest peak in North Wales on July 11and raise £1,000 for Dementia UK.
Care team leader Jayne Johnson said: "Dementia is something close to all of our hearts, not just through our work but also through personal experiences. As a residential home specialising in dementia care we see firsthand how dementia not only affects the individual but also family members and friends."
Andy Foote, deputy manager, Elaine Jones, administrator, Rob Jones, volunteer gardener, Chris O'Sullivan, maintenance and Jayne Johnson, care team leader and company director Amer Hussein and his wife will be taking part in the walk.
The seven-strong team is now preparing for their 3,560 feet trek to the summit.
Jayne added: "We already have a fitness instructor who visits the home every fortnight to help our residents stay fit, active and happy so we have all been joining in with this along with our own personal training after our shifts!"
