VOLUNTEERS are continuing to spruce up the town centre's park.
Friends of Winsford Town Park are holding their next activity session on Wednesday, June 5 from 10.30am to 1pm.
John Malam, the group's chairman, said:"We'll be doing some light weeding in the prairie area, around the eight Salt Stacks, which has annual weed coming through. This area is planted with ornamental grasses, purple loosestrife, and asters, which now seem to be growing well.
"If time allows and enough volunteers come along, we may also be able to do some general tidying up in other areas of Town Park – litter picking, weeding, sweeping of paths, and continuing to remove fallen branches and dead wood from the woodland area."
Anyone is welcome to help.
Volunteers meet at the viewing platform near Dingle Lane and are asked to wear appropriate clothing, gloves and footwear.
