A TEENAGE driver caught driving 'erratically' on the M6 has been slammed by North West Motorway Police officers.
The car was stopped yesterday, Sunday, near Knutsford after officers spotted it driving at speed.
They found the unsupervised driver had no insurance and had only just turned 17 and therefore only had a provisional licence.
A Facebook post from the force added: "Why would you be that stupid driving unsupervised in the first place on a very busy motorway."
The car was seized.
The law changed last year to allow learner drivers to take lessons on motorways.
Previously you could only have motorway lessons after you have passed your driving test.
