THE Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service attended a crash ivolving two cars in Byley Lane yesterday at 2.30pm.
One fire engine from Middlewich and another from Northwich were at the scene.
A spokesperson for the service said: "At 2.30pm firefighters were called to a report of a two-vehicle collision on Byley Lane in Northwich.
"On arrival crews discovered that a man was trapped in one of the vehicles.
"They closed the road as emergency services worked at the scene.
"Firefighters helped the casualty to get out of the vehicle.
"They handed him and another casualty over to the care of paramedics.
"Firefighters were in attendance for around half-an-hour.
Police also attended."
