THROUGHOUT this year we will be dipping into the wedding albums of Warrington couples who have tied the knot and finding out more about the happiest day of their life.

This happy couple met through the dating app Tinder in 2014 and quickly hit it off despite some gentle mocking over Jacob's dress sense.

Victoria Tang, aged 32, added: "When I first met him I thought Jacob had a funny dress sense as he was wearing a cardigan my granddad would have worn!

"But I thought he was very good looking and we had a lot of laughs with his joking sense of humour.

"He said his first impression was that I was good looking and funny and I was easily impressed at the fact he could use chopsticks!"

Victoria and Jacob Potter, aged 27, found a love of food, eating out, trying new restaurants and binge-watching Netflix brought them together and three years later in April 2017 they got engaged.

Victoria added: "Jacob had booked us a hot air balloon ride for my 30th birthday.

"We were flying over the Lake District when he tried to get down on one knee and ask me to marry him - there wasn't much room!"

Warrington Guardian:

The Birchwood pair got married exactly two years to the day they were engaged on April 18, 2019 at Ruthin Castle in North Wales in front of 70 guests.

During the day they tucked into leek and potato soup for starter, a roast turkey dinner for main course and sticky toffee pudding for dessert before guests enjoyed a hog roast for the evening buffet.

Warrington Guardian:

Victoria added: "It was perfect and everything I had dreamt since I was a little girl - a fairytale wedding in a castle with the sun shining.

"Jacob says seeing me walk down the aisle was one of his favourite memories of the day.

"For me, my dad’s speech was lovely and I enjoyed our father-daughter dance followed by our first dance to ‘Tightrope’."

Warrington Guardian:

After the big day, the love birds jetted off to Las Vegas and visited the Grand Canyon during their honeymoon.

Victoria and Jacob, who have daughters Holly and Georgie from previous relationships as well as their one-year-old daughter Alicia, added they had no doubts about getting married.

Victoria added: "I love the fact that I know Jacob would do anything for me and love how he has surprised me on special occasions in the past.

"Jacob says he loves how supportive I have been in our difficult times and loves how I have changed him to be more cultured.

"We’ve been through a lot of difficult times together and became even stronger as a couple and knew we wanted to marry each other with no doubts."
