KNUTSFORD Market launched Love your Local Market fortnight with a performance from Egerton Primary School Choir.

Visitors to the Market Hall on Friday were treated to a beautiful performance from the choir after a short speech from Knutsford Town Mayor Cllr Peter Coan.

Love your Local Market runs until the end of May, and Knutsford Market Hall celebrated the fortnight by holding a sample day on Saturday, as well as holding a two-week long competition to Guess the (Baby) trader to raise money for Knutsford Royal May Day.

The sample day included free mini-shoots for dogs by Tatton Photography to samples of The Market Café’s famous sausage rolls.

Throughout the fortnight Knutsford will be reminded what the Market Hall offers throughout the year, including delivery, online orders, pre-orders as well as the range of products and services on offer – including videos of traders and customers reminding people why you should shop local and Love your Local Market.

On Saturday there will be a face painter for children to kick-start the half- term holidays.

Sandra Curties, town centre manager, said: “We hope Love your Local Market reminds people what is on their doorstep.

"Not just for these two weeks but all year round – we offer supper clubs, quizzes and are hosting Fine Lines in the Knutsford Music Festival as well as everyday quality products at excellent prices.”

Knutsford Market Hall is open every Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday from 8am to 4pm.

The Market Café also open on Wednesday. Shoppers at Knutsford Market can find everything for dinner from fruit and veg, wine and a great range of meat, poultry and fish.

There is a café and you can buy women’s and children’s clothing and accessories and gifts. There is also a stall offering a weigh and save and eco products.

Alongside this is a photography stall offering a full range of consumer and corporate photography services.
