COMMUNITY choir Knutsford Beats have thanked everyone who helped them raise a ‘fantastic’ total at a charity singathon.
The fundraiser took place on Sunday, May 12, on Regent Street in Knutsford, from midday to 4pm.
“We raised an amazing £2,552 from our justgiving website donations and what was collected on the day,” said Di Healey, who leads the choir.
“It was a fantastic day and a fantastic result. Brasserie Blanc offered us free coffees all day, so a special mention must go to them.
“We will be back as part of the Knutsford Music Festival on Saturday, June 22 from 2pm to 4pm on Regent Street again.”
Knutsford Beats is a mixed community choir which was set up a year ago.
The singathon saw the choir entertain the community with a selection of full choir pieces, some duets and solos and a few community singalong songs.
