TATTON Brewery has been selected to represent Cheshire with its own brewery bar at the Great British Beer Festival at London Olympia this summer.

As one of the county’s most established brewers, Tatton has been invited to serve up a variety of cask ales at the country’s most prestigious real ale event put on by CAMRA, The Campaign For Real Ale.

Between August 6 and 10 at Olympia more than 40,000 beer lovers will get the opportunity to taste the likes of Malted Milk, Lazy Haze, Tatton Best and VIPA.

Tatton Brewery managing director Gregg Sawyer said: “To be invited to supply our cask beers in such a significant volume to such a highly attended and respected event is a testament to the whole team and their continued hard work at the brewery.

“We're looking forward to getting feedback from many drinkers face to face.”

Tatton Brewery is staging its ninth birthday beer festival between Thursday, June 6 and Saturday, June 8, with a wide range of beers, including a few surprise and experimental brews.

Live entertainment will include local vocalist Cat Allen on the Thursday evening, and return performances on the Friday evening by the Brasswurst Bavarian Beer Band as well as locals K Town Beer Band.

Head brewer Gregg will host the official brewery tour on the Thursday evening, which is not compulsory, and during all the sessions food will be available to purchase.

For non-beer drinkers there will be hand-crafted cider from Big Hands, prosecco, gin and tonic and soft drinks.

The celebrations run from 6pm to 10pm on the Thursday, 5pm to 10pm on the Friday and midday to 6pm on the Saturday.

Tickets for Thursday and Friday are £8. When bought in advance online the price includes three pints. Saturday afternoon is free (entry only).
