Indian cookery school to open at Goostrey

Habiba, from Northwich, launched the Indian cookery school in November 2017, offering one-to-one classes in your home, group classes in community venues and private cookery events.

Group classes are now to be offered at Habiba’s new base at Cranage Trade Park within Goostrey Home and Leisure.

She is inviting people to the opening of the cookery school on Sunday, June 23, from 10am.

There will hand-made refreshments and an opportunity to check out the classes on offer and a spice store available to the public for all their cooking needs.

Habiba said: “My Curry Club offers people the access to understand the flavours and tastes of real home-cooked food, which is very different from what we would order from a menu.

“It builds confidence so people can be inspired to cook with spice and cook it well, and allows them to discover new and innovative dishes.

“For me marrying my British and Bangladeshi heritage is what makes what I have to offer unique and exciting.

“Good food is just that - good, but great food leaves a lasting impression and creates a memory that cannot be forgotten.

“My Curry Club aims to be a part of the community and contributing to it with regular local and international charity events and networking events, to give back the support it is graciously receiving.

“There is an amazing spice bazaar, with authentic blends of Indian spices not available anywhere nearby.

“This is a plastic-free bazaar, and customers can purchase a glass jar or bring their own and buy spice by weight for minimal wastage.”
