ULTIMATE Creative Communications is to continue its sponsorship of the Seashell Trust’s cycling sportive for 2019.

The Knutsford-based digital branding and design agency will host the feed station at Flash, the highest village in England, one of five to sustain the riders along the four different routes.

The event takes place on Sunday, September 15 and the organisers are expecting up to 500 riders to enter.

The routes, from the 50km Espresso to the 170km Epic, take in some of the most scenic countryside in Cheshire, Derbyshire and Staffordshire.

The 2018 event attracted 320 entrants and raised £18,000 for the charity’s work with profoundly and severely disabled children and young people who also have little or no ability to communicate verbally.

Matthew Townsend, Founder and CEO at Ultimate, said: “Cycling is proven to have so many benefits to people’s physical and mental health.

“If by sponsoring Seashell’s annual sportive Ultimate can help raise money to improve the lives of the extremely vulnerable young people they work with, then I am delighted we are able to play a small part in the event.”

In addition to its sponsorship of the event, Ultimate will provide volunteers to staff the feed-station.

Dominic Tinner, head of fundraising at Seashell Trust, said: “With the support of our sponsors like Ultimate the Seashell Trust Sportive has gone from humble beginnings to a regular and much-anticipated event in the North West cycling calendar.”
