FIREFIGHTERS rescued six baby ducklings on Friday afternoon.
The crews from Lymm Fire station were called to in Half Acre Lane in Thelwall at 4pm.
A member of the public had called to say a group of ducklings had become trapped in a drain with the mother duck stuck outside.
The crew removed a number of manhole covers to try to locate the ducklings and rescue them.
After some time, they were able to retrieve the six ducklings from the pipework and reunite them with their mother, and they were taken to a nearby canal to be released.
