TEDxNorthwich will take place at 6pm on Friday, June 21 at Memorial Court, licensed by TED under the theme of 'be the best you can be'.

After being 'inundated' with applications, organises Sam Newey and Catherine Sandland have invited five speakers to take part.

  • Health and wellbeing coach Karen Rogers – founder of Fit for Life Mums and Fit for Life Dads in Hartford and Knutsford.
  • Vocal coach Heather Baker will speak about the importance of singing.

Northwich Guardian:

  • Child psychotherapist Ashley Costello of Mini-Me Yoga will make the case for wellbeing joining the 'three Rs' at school.

Northwich Guardian:

  • International athlete-turned-business coach Paula Cohen will share her experiences in 'Eyeballs Out and Wobbly Cheeks'

Northwich Guardian:

  • Chiropractor Julia Gover will explain why everything we know about pain is probably wrong.

Co-organiser Sam Newey said: “We have selected each of these speakers based on the knowledge and passion they have in their respective fields and because of their infectious delivery and ability to engage with the audience.

“This is the perfect line-up to fulfil our ambition of sparking debate, sharing big ideas and bringing our theme of ‘be the best you can be’ to life and we are very excited to host the first TEDxNorthwich.

"We were inundated with interest from potential speakers and would like to extend our thanks to everyone who took the time to apply for TEDxNorthwich.”

This is the first time TED talks have been delivered in Northwich, and the event will feature deep discussion alongside TED Talks video.

Tickets for TEDxNorthwich will be priced at £20 and will go on sale on Wednesday, May 1. Details of sponsorship opportunities will be announced soon.
