KNUTSFORD firm Intecho is on the move to a new home at a former bowling club building.

The intelligent technologies and smart home solutions provider has signed a 10-year lease at a building at Mere Heath Lane in Knutsford.

Having outgrown its current Tatton Street premises, the move paves the way to support the firm’s ambitious expansion plans.

It will allow the head office to showcase its revolutionary smart homes and building automation technologies, while also creating a training centre for staff, which is particularly welcomed by the growing team of local apprentices’ and interns.

Intecho is working with Tatton Estate to renovate the property, which has been empty for more than seven years.

The firm’s panel shop manager, Alan Watson, said: “Having the increased space and bespoke facilities onsite at the new building is a dream come true for any panel shop manager.

“I’ve taken great pleasure in designing the new layout and functionality of the space, which will increase productivity, efficiency and training and development of our staff significantly.”

The business recently celebrated its 10th anniversary, won the KNX Commercial Installer of the Year award and was shortlisted for two further awards for Innovation and Apprentice of the Year.
