ARTIST Susi Clarke watched bidders battle it out to buy one of her paintings at a charity ball in aid of Knutsford Community First Responder Trust.
Susi, from Knutsford, is an abstract artist and a volunteer with the First Responder group.
She donated a painting entitled Crimson Skies for the trust’s Heartbeat Ball, which was held on Friday at The Courthouse in Knutsford.
“The ball was a big success, and my painting raised £380 in the auction,” said Susi.
“I’m a great supporter of the First Responder group, and it was very exciting to watch the auction, with five people bidding for the painting, which was bought by a Knutsford couple.”
Susi is a self-taught, abstract artist, and is fascinated with colours and colour combinations.
She has 12 paintings on show at the Vermilion art gallery at Unit 3 on the Stanley Road industrial estate in Knutsford.
