WIRRAL acts are being invited to sign up to perform at this year's Rock 'n' Roll Liverpool Marathon.

Returning on Sunday, May 26, the Rock 'n' Roll Marathon and half Marathon will take place across the city and organisers are looking for local acts to volunteer to perform along the route.

Last year more than 20,000 runners took part and this year, even more are expected to join in the fun.

Organisers want a range of performers to apply whether it be singer/songwriters, rock bands, choirs, dancers, drumming groups or ukulele bands to help keep the runners motivated throughout the race.

Each act will then be placed at every mile of the distance and will be supported by PA and stage manager.

There is also the opportunity for acts to perform along the route of the Rock 'n' Roll Liverpool 5k on Saturday, May 35.
