THE Antrobus Arms has been shortlisted for Best Newcomer in the Taste Cheshire Food and Drink Awards.
Run by Uphouse Pubs, the refurbished Warrington Road pub will be in the running at the awards ceremony on April 24.
Since taking over almost a year ago, the current team has strived to build a reputation for excellent customer experience.
Landlord Martin Barnes said: “We're delighted to be nominated for this award. We've worked hard over the last 12 months to establish the Antrobus Arms as pub that is welcoming to all.
"The team has taken real pride in what we have set out to achieve, so I am chuffed for them that they are gaining recognition for their efforts.
"Fingers crossed that we come back with the award."
As well as a range of ales, gins and wines, the pub offers an a la carte menu, mid-week Senior’s Lunches, and Sunday lunches.
The Antrobus Arms will be up against Bean and Cole in Chester, The Nags Head in Haughton, Docket No.64 in Chester, and The Oakfield at Chester Zoo.
The winner is decided by public vote, at the Taste Cheshire website here.
