Cooking food had been left unattended
FIRE crews were called to deal with a smoke-logged kitchen at Knowle Park, Handforth just before 9.30pm last night.
Firefighters were called to a report of a smoke alarm sounding at a house.
On arrival crews discovered the mid-terraced property's kitchen was smoke- logged as a result of cooking food having been left unattended.
Firefighters cleared the smoke from the property and used a thermal imaging camera to check for hotspots and make sure that the kitchen was safe.
They also assessed the occupier to make sure that she was not suffering from the effects of smoke inhalation.
