PEOPLE are being invited to ‘dress to impress’ for a black tie Ball being held to support a foundation set up in memory of teenager Nell Jones.

The 14-year-old died in the Manchester Arena attack, and The Remembering Nell Foundation was set up to improve the lives of young people in the north west.

This year’s Nell’s Spring Ball takes place on Saturday, March 30 at The Mere, from 7.30pm to 2am.

Tickets are £60, and there is the option to book tables of eight,10 or 12 if desired.

There will be a three-course meal, bar, live music and a DJ, and the evening will also feature a live charity auction, silent auction and raffle.

The foundation was launched last year with Nell's Spring Ball 2018, and aims to improve the lives and wellbeing of young people by providing funding, resources and support to children's charities in the north west.

One of the organisers of the Ball said: “A truly wonderful evening was had by everyone at Nell's Spring Ball last year.

“It was a fun night of love, hope and happiness; a celebration of Nell and all that is good in this world.

“The money raised at the Spring Ball, along with other fundraisers throughout the year, has funded projects for north west charities.

“This includes equipment for a new sports club at the Wingate Centre, play therapy sessions for children at Cheshire Autism, school uniforms and books for disadvantaged children supported by Wood Street Mission and a residential trip for those supported by Cheshire Buddies.

“Following on from the success of last year's launch event, we hope to make Nell's Spring Ball an annual fundraiser.”

Tickets are still available for next month’s Ball, by emailing caroline@rememberingnell.com or calling 07836 386327.
