HOLMES Chapel Parish Council is looking to repair vandalised panels at a bird hide.
The hide is at Dane Meadow, a seven-hectare area of land to the north of the village in the Dane Valley.
The hide was also vandalised about a year ago, and the latest attack saw youths smash a series of wooden panels in the hide wall.
The parish council is to discuss the vandalism at this week’s council meeting.
PCSO Liz Chesters said recently that police would be taking a zero-tolerance approach to vandalism and littering on the Dane Meadow.
She said: “We have had incidents reported to us on the Dane Meadow, where we are finding small pockets of vandalism and litter being left.
“This is an area we are going to patrol more regularly, and there will be a zero-tolerance approach to anyone found to be involved in these incidents.”
The development of the Dane Meadow was a joint project between Holmes Chapel Parish Council, Cheshire East Borough Council and Holmes Chapel Partnership.
