IT'S panto time at Knutsford Little Theatre as the company stages the timeless tale of Cinderella.

The panto is directed by James Broughton, and opens on Thursday, January 17.

You’ll find all your favourite ingredients in the traditional tale of the poor, put upon Cinderella, who is forced to do all the menial household tasks by her stepmother Helen and selfish stepsisters Anastasia and Drisella.

Her only friend is the handyman Buttons. Cinderella’s Fairy Godmother works wonders, and a new Princess is the belle of the ball.

Magic mingles with the moonlight, but when midnight strikes Cinderella makes a hasty exit, leaving behind her glass slipper, the only clue to her identity.

Prince Charming vows to find its owner, and hope springs eternal in this classic tale with a happy ending.

The panto is being staged at 7pm from January 17 to 19 and 24 to 26, with 2pm matinees on January 19 and 26, and performances at 11.30am and 3.30pm on January 20.
