FIREFIGHTERS received reports of a waste bin fire in Sandiford Road at 11.23 am on Tuesday, January 7.
One fire engine from Congleton attended the scene.
A spokersperson for the Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service said: " The fire, believed to have been caused by smoking materials, was put out by a positive pressure ventilation fan.
"One man was handed to the care of paramedics."
