SKIN cancer survivor Ella Worthington is offering women the chance to pamper themselves to help her raise £10,000 for the Christie Charitable Fund.

Ella, 46, from Knutsford, is taking part in the London Marathon in April in memory of her mum and a close friend to support the charity.

She will be running in memory of mum Janet, who died four years ago aged 73, and friend Angela Stewart, who died in September at the age of 46.

Janet and Angela died at the Christie Hospital, which has also treated Ella for skin cancer.

She was diagnosed a year ago after discovering a mole on her leg, and is in remission after undergoing surgery.

For Ella this will be her second time in the London Marathon after taking part in 2017 in memory of her mum, who had ovarian cancer.

She raised £5,000 for Ovarian Cancer Action, and is hoping to double that figure at the 2019 marathon for the Christie.

She is also staging a ladies day at The Cottons Hotel and Spa in Knutsford on Sunday, February 17, from 12.30pm to 5pm, to help towards her target.

“The pamper day and fashion show with Shine with Ali will offer lots of pampering and shopping,” said Ella.

“There will also be a fabulous fashion show and raffle prizes to be won.

“There will be massage treatments, reflexology, a local author, nail treatments, cakes, a podiatrist, tarot/spiritual readings, essential oils, perfume, clothing, jewellery, candles, face masks, clothing and lots more.

“Appointment bookings will be taken from 12.30pm, so please arrive on time to ensure you get a treatment and a tarot/spiritual reading.

“The best therapy in the world is time spent with your friends, so we look forward to seeing you there.”

The £5 ticket includes a complimentary raffle ticket, entry into the BMW/£10k competition and the chance to win a mystery prize.

Free parking is available, and people are asked to bring their electronic ticket with them.

Ella is having her marathon day running gear sponsored by businesses to boost the Christie total, and it costs £60 to have a logo on her clothing.
