KNUTSFORD Lions are hoping to do a roaring trade with the offer of free tickets for their popular annual variety show.

The afternoon of free entertainment is put on by the club for senior citizens, and the 2019 celebration is being staged on Saturday, February 2, at Knutsford Methodist Church.

The show features ‘An Amusing Recitation’, the Knutsford Beats choir, the Redwing band and vocalist and the ‘Lions Sketch’.

The show runs from 2pm to 4.45pm, and free tickets are available from Mr Simms Olde Sweet shop at 119 King Street, Knutsford, and JH Oakes and Son boot and shoe repairs at 6 Parkgate Lane, Knutsford.

The show has been organised by Knutsford Lions for many years, and in 2014 moved to the Methodist church from the civic centre.

The show usually contains a mixture of music, singing and dance, and a popular part of the show is the Lions Sketch, which is performed by members of the group.

Rehearsals for Lions start after Christmas, and there is always a keen group of people willing to take part.
