A little boy from Bromley has received some early Christmas cheer thanks to kind-hearted staff at London South East College.

Hudson McGeehan, four, from Sundridge Park, was diagnosed with cerebral palsy two years ago.

His story inspired the Bromley campus to raise money for him during a Christmas fair.

Staff also raised funds for a colleague who is battling cancer.

More than £1,600 was raised, which was split between charities Cancer Research UK and The Tree of Hope.

Grandfather of Hudson, Graham McNamara, a technician at the college, said: "It was such a great event and so touching that my colleagues put in so much effort to help support Hudson and Ian.

"The money raised for Tree of Hope will help Hudson to continue with the intense physiotherapy he is currently receiving, which will increase his mobility in the longer term.

"My family and I are truly grateful for the support we have received from wonderful College staff and students and I thank them all very much."

Little Hudson has inspired more than £5,000 worth of donations through his JustGiving page for The Tree of Hope www.justgiving.com/fundraising/hudson-mcgeehan
