A driver has died following a collision in Saltney Ferry on Tuesday morning.
Police were called at 10.41am to a report of a collision on Chester Road, where a car had collided with a bus shelter.
The Welsh Ambulance Service sent a rapid response vehicle, an emergency ambulance and an air ambulance, but the driver, from the Chester area, was sadly pronounced dead at the scene.
Sgt Meurig Jones, of the Roads Policing Unit said: “Our sympathies go out to the family of the driver who are being supported by Police Family Liaison Officers.”
“The investigation is ongoing to establish the circumstances surrounding this collision and we are keen to hear from anyone who may have been in the area prior to the collision this morning.”
