FLATS in Hightown were evacuated in the early hours of this morning following a fire.
Three fire crews – from Middlewich, Winsford and Holmes Chapel – were called to the property at 3.58am today, Tuesday.
The fire involved a door on the third floor, and four people were evacuated from the flats as a safety precaution.
A Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service spokesman said: "Firefighters, wearing two breathing apparatus, used one hose reel to put out the blaze and a fan to clear the smoke.
"A thermal imaging camera was then used to check for any signs the fire had spread to the loft.
"Everyone inside the flats were accounted for."
