ENTRIES have opened for the second Middlewich 5k race.
Following a hugely successful inaugural event this year with close to 200 runners, the event will return to town on May 12, 2019.
The route is mostly off-road, taking in Middlewich's famous canals and trails. Although the going is mostly flat, runners will face the Three Lock Challenge.
Sponsored this year by Nissan Holdcroft, the race will be chip-timed, starting at the Big Lock Pub and finishing at Middlewich Cricket Club, with refreshment available at both venues and registration at the cricket club.
All runners will receive a medal and goodie bag, with prizes for the top three males and females and for each age group winner.
The family fun run, sponsored by Rainbow Day Nursery, will take place at Middlewich Cricket Club and will be three laps of the pitch with finishers receiving a medal and a goodie bag.
