CANTEEN staff at Weaverham High School have been hailed as the best in the borough by an education-based community interest company.
As part of National School Meals Week, CIC Edsential opened up its National Roast Dinner Day competition across the borough for the third year.
Weaverham High was selected as the winner from west Cheshire alongside Barnston Primary School on the Wirral.
The prize includes an exciting opportunity for the canteen team to learn from the best.
An Edsential spokesman said: “We love to promote the work that catering staff in our kitchens at schools across Cheshire West and the Wirral, and run designed social media campaigns and competitions to showcase the fantastic food that our staff create for our children, and sometimes parents and stakeholders.
“This year, for National Schools Meals Week, Edsential teamed up with LACA to offer a unique prize for our National Roast Dinner Day competition.
“With the help of LACA and the Chester Grosvenor, we are able to offer our competitions winners a chance to work with Michelin star executive chef Simon Radley for a day.”
