A TASTE of America is coming to the heart of Northwich from the middle of the town itself, with the new Stateside Bar and Kitchen working hand in hand with fellow high street businesses.

Since opening to the public last Friday, the take-up for the American-themed restaurant’s range of steaks, burgers, pizza and more has been high with many keen to sample the High Street eatery.

And with an official launch party tomorrow, Friday, Stateside is showing off its late-night entertainment as well, boasting a range of craft beers and cocktails.

Owner Lyn Taylor – formerly landlord at the Salt Barge in Marston – is setting out to share the ‘ultimate comfort food’ with the town.

Lyn said: Everybody has been really good with us. We have got a very strong team here.

“We have been open for a week now and the feedback we have had has been brilliant.

“We have had a few big parties in already and are taking Christmas party bookings – there is a bar upstairs for these groups and on Fridays and Saturdays we have in-house entertainment until 2am.

“Everybody seems to love the food. Everything that people are trying, they are really enjoying it. The drinks offering has gone down well too.”

The menu also includes wings, nachos, fajitas and tacos, washed down with a range of cocktails and American craft beers including Samuel Adams and Brooklyn Lager.

An important aspect of the new venue is to work hand-in-hand with neighbouring businesses to help further boost Northwich’s appeal.

Lyn said: “We are using local produce, and supporting local businesses – that’s very important and something we will continue to do.

“We’ve had a lot of people from the business community come in, who have been marvellous in supporting us as well.

“It has been a very supportive atmosphere, which is lovely. We are supporting each other – we get everything in town.

“We can wander around and use the local businesses for our menu – everything we make is fresh from the kitchen including the sauces which our chef makes.

“We can walk around Northwich and buy our meat, our fish, our fruit and veg.”

At the official opening party on Friday, set to include samples of cocktails and nibbles, resident DJ Dave Butcher will be setting the soundtrack until 2am.

The following morning, the restaurant gets its first experience of the monthly artisan market, with homemade mulled wine on offer to shoppers alongside a new USA/UK fusion breakfast menu.
